How did you get into direct response fundraising?

I was working in Ecommerce for a large retailer when I reached the point where I wanted to explore something new, that’s when I stumbled across New River. Coming to New River gave me the ability to give back in a way that I never thought of. As a kid I was involved with different non-profits and I’m a firm believer that it helped to mold me into the person I am today. Being able to help clients change the lives of others is the fuel that drives me.

What’s the best part of your job?

Learning and working with different non-profits. Also the opportunity to develop new, exciting ways to not only help our clients but also to change lives in the process.

Worst part of your job?

As an innovative thinker it is my job to help my clients anyway I can, so whenever we miss the mark it can become very frustrating.

Your favorite escape from the job?

I’m a country girl at heart, I love hanging out with my family. My nieces and nephews definitely keep me on my toes. Traveling and festivals have also become a new past time for me. And, at the end of the day, shopping for shoes is usually a quick escape for me as well!
